Feed Viewer™ was first released in 2006 for Windows XP. It was inspired by a gadget that appeared in early beta builds of Windows Vista, as well as by a computer program shown in the movie The Matrix at the 7‑minute mark.

The software is provided on an as‑is basis, and each user operates the application solely at their own responsibility. All content displayed by the application is public and supplied by third parties. The copyrights of the respective content authors remain unaffected.
